In our lives, we encounter moments that we feel like we are on the edge of a steep cliff.
When there is no further road to go, only then, we look back at our dreams that we had long ago. Dreams are the momentum that drive our lives to go forward, but also an ideal destination that is difficult to reach. This work represents a human figure that aspires to reach that ideal destination.

Having only cutout lines, the human figure in this work does not have any differences in appearance nor in ethnicity. So, the focus would only be purely on the human form itself.
The lines that shape the figure are cut from a two-dimensional metal plate, and when bending the lines, they become a sculpture embracing the negative space. That space is sometimes divided or sometimes connected based on a viewer’s perspective. In accordance, the figure image is bent and transformed like a person dancing within that space.

All of the ups and downs of our lives, ultimately, will become our dance of life. In my works, I endeavor to express experiences, thoughts, and aspirations through the image of the human figure to reveal the exquisiteness of our dances of life.
